Happy Mother's Day!

Hank and I started off the morning going for a hike, then we came home and did a little work in the garden before having a lovely cookout with the boys and Henry's girlfriend, Michelle.

Here's a photo taken today of me with the boys, that's Brian on the left (my right)and Henry is on the right. They both make fun of me because I am so much shorter than they are.

We just found out that Henry is on the Dean's list this semester. This mother is so proud of him! He goes to UMass Amherst and is finishing up his senior year with a Biology major.

Brian's in his senior year of high school, but is not an ideal student. He is smart as a whip, but too lazy to do homework or finish his assignments on time. So his grades are all over the place. I am still very proud of the young man he is becoming. His teacher did say he knows enough about web design to teach the class though , and he always helps out the other students. He is a talented artist, taught himself to play guitar and has started to become interested in photography too. I am sure he'll do well in whatever he chooses to do.

I love these guys SO much and I am happy to be their mother!

A special Mother's Day verse from the bible:

Proverbs 31:10-12 and 25-31

A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.

She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.

She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.

She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:

"Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all."

Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

Give her the reward she has earned,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Here is a little gift for you: A pretty blue and purple background and a 12 X 12 overlay in both dark and light. The writing across the bottom of the overlay is the verse above, and this is the Spiritual Journey Scripture Challenge for the month of May.

Here is the Link

I hope you had a beautiful Mother's Day!
