Missed me?

So where have I been lately? SICK for one thing! Ugh - it's been 3 weeks and 3 trips to 3 different doctors. First doctor said it was allergies...hmmm I think NOT.

The next doctor said it was bronchitis and gave me the 5 day Z-pack of antibiotics. Well 7 days later and still no improvement. I was finally able to get an appointment with my regular doctor for an albuterol inhaler and codeine cough syrup - still not much help. She said it could last for up to 6 weeks!

So it's been a bit more than 3 weeks. At this point I am convinced it's whooping cough.I have had bronchitis before and it was nothing like this cough, where at times I am gasping for breath in the middle of the night.

Symptoms of Whooping Cough:
Early signs and symptoms - Once you become infected with the bacterium that causes whooping cough, it takes about three to 12 days for signs and symptoms to appear.

They're usually mild at first and resemble those of a common cold, such as:

* A runny nose
* Nasal congestion
* Sneezing Red, watery eyes
* A mild fever
* Dry cough
* General feeling of being unwell and loss of appetite

Later stage signs and symptomsAfter a week or two, signs and symptoms become worse and usually include:

Severe coughing attacks that bring up thick phlegm YEP

Coughing attacks — up to 15 coughs in a row — that end with a high-pitched "whoop" sound during the next breath of air YEP

Fatigue from the exertion of coughing YEP

Coughing characteristics:In adults, signs and symptoms of whooping cough may resemble those of bronchitis, a respiratory infection that causes a nagging cough. YEP

You may even bruise or break a rib if your coughing episodes are severe. YEP (OK, nothing broken but I have coughed so hard that I pulled a muscle in my back)

Coughing may be worse at night. YEP

Yep - that's exactly what it's been like for 3 weeks. I can't remember the last time I had a tetnus shot (DTaP - the P is for Pertussis, Whooping Cough) So it is quite possible that I would no longer have immunity. The good news if any, is that while there is no quick remedy, the 5 day Z-pack is the correct treatment, and may shorten the overall recovery...which can sometimes take months.

More good news is that I have felt a little better yesterday and today. I have had some time off for Thanksgiving, so I have been able to get some much needed rest.

And today the coughing seems a tad better.
NASTY, NASTY sickness!
Enough of that.

I have had some time to design a new kit for Thanksgiving. It's called Thankful Heart, and it's full of wonderful goodies for Fall and Thanksgiving. Includes 9 Backgrounds and 5 different Word Arts.

It's been on sale for only $1.50, and will still be on sale for just a few more hours. Just click on the images to go to my store at Plain Digital Wrapper.

I also had some time for scrapping...here are some new pages I have done over the past couple weeks:

(You can click on any of them to see them a bit larger)

I am way too tired to look up all the credits. But they are listed in my DST gallery - here's a LINK if you see something and NEED to know where it came from!

And I finally have another FREEBIE for you - the November Spiritual Journey Challenge.
I just love Word Art - Both using it on my pages and making it! So there are three for you, and a holiday background.

As sick as I have been, I am still SO thankful for the many blessings the LORD has given me.

Too many to list, but they are all in my heart and I thank HIM in Jesus' name for each and every one. Just click the image below to download.

Happiness, Peace and Blessings to you all!
