Let the planting begin!

I did get started on the garden finally. It felt SO good to get my hands in the dirt!

I got a few flowers in the big metal washtubs out on the front deck, and my little water fountain is set up:

Strawberries will hang out here until I find a good spot for them...maybe a big terracotta strawberry pot.

Here is my hardworking half - tilling up the veggie garden for me - I got kale and cabbage plants in, and hope to get spinach peas and lettuce seeded after work one day.

Weeds for Dinner?

I love the bitter tang of dandelion greens. We had them for Sunday dinner with a boiled pork picnic roast and carrots, turnips and potatoes - yum!
