Pixel Mischief: So - I haven't been blogging because...

I have been reading these books by Stephanie Meyer (I imagine she is getting quite rich with this series LOL! - everyone seems to be reading them)

I am totally caught up in this fascinating love story about Bella and her friends who are vampires and werewolves.I finished Twilight and New Moon and am about halfway through Eclipse. It's very hard to put these books down! I don't usually get so drawn into a story as this, so I am happily suprised at how light and entertaining the story is. Not gory or creepy at all, considering the subject.

So that's what I have been doing in my spare time. I needed a rest after all the work we have been doing on the house! It's almost done - yippee!

This is the corner of the house where we had to replace to rotten sill wood:

And here is that same corner now! The rotten wood was right below where the bench is.

Here is is almost done. We still have build the stairs and finish the railings over on the left. Next year we'll stain the entire thing (it will be the same color as the table in the photo.) We use Sikkens stain - it's pricey, but worth every penny!
