Spiritual Journey Scripture Challenge

This post is just so Digifree will pick up the right preview for the Spiritual Journey Scripture Challenge. The search engine over at that site picked out the wrong preview yesterday, since I linked to the kit I won from SherrieJD. I'll have to make sure I set it up with only one link on my post next time!

The Bible verse is from the New International Version.

Isaiah 18:4 - This is what the Lord says to me: “I will remain quiet and will look on from my dwelling place, like shimmering heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.”

It's a beautiful verse, perfect for reflecting on this time of year, as summer winds down and we relish all of the wonderful gifts the Lord provides.

The challenge this month is to create something celebrating summer. How has God blessed you this summer? Or has He given you trials to make you stronger? My summer has been a combination of both. He has blessed me time and time again, and when I try to do things my own way, He is slowly taking my stubborn will, and teaching me that he always knows best! I am so grateful for all His patience and for His loving ways!

Here is the preview and link for the August Spiritual Journey Gift :

If you'd like to show off your beautiful pages, there is a gallery set up at Plain Digital Wrapper:

I'd love to see your pages and hear any comments you have!

Enjoy and have a wonderful Sunday!

Actually, I have a question. I am a middle-aged female who started using a computer only 3 years ago. My profession, which is semi-managerial, semi-hands-on, never demanded knowledge of computers. Recently, I fell into digital scrapbooking. I love it!
Is it wrong for me to share the downloads that I stumble upon with the senior citizens that I share the classroom with? They, like I, are just learning how to use a computer. Anyway, if I share a kit, with tou, address, and directions on how to find your blog, is that piracy? These people are so proud just to know how to sign on to adobe photo shop. I want to tease them with a glimpse of the wonders that await them on the web, if only they persevere in their pursuit of how to use a computer.

If anyone can answer this question, it would be much appreciated.

Sincerely,
ME

Hello, Mad Hatter:

First of all, welcome to the exciting world of digital scrapbooking. It is truly a hobby that lets you exercise the imagination!

To answer your question - YES, it is generally condsidered wrong by most designers to share downloads, even among friends and relatives. Due to the digital form of our products, file sharing makes it far too easy for many potential customers to get paid product for free. And many designers would also prefer that free items not be shared either. Sometimes the items are only free for a limited time and then moved to a store. And many others consider these freebies to be advertising, and so ask that you send people to their blogs.

With all that being said, I have no problem with you sharing my free items IN THE CLASSROOM as you have mentioned. Please contact me for a special license agrrement and for more dtails on where you can more of my material as free samples!

My e-mail is d_rafferty@yahoo.com
