Some Visitors!

These guests are always welcome at our place! DH feeds them , so we have between 3 and 7 that come every day. I love to watch them out the window in the mornings. So pretty!

The squirrels can be pesky - they chew my bird feeders, and probably eat more seeds than the birds. One even got in on the back porch and chewed through the plastic seed container to get more seeds! But this one looks so cute running across the new snow!

I hope you enjoy the photos of my "friends!"

Spiritual Journey Challenge

This week's Fruit is that of faithfulness.

Galations 5:22 ~ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Faithfulness is the one fruit that we give to God, whereas the others are from the Spirit working in us!

Faithfulness is not always easy. Especially during hard times, it is easier to have doubt, and to question God.

Faith is believing and trusting in God's plan, even when filled with questions and uncertainty.

Stay strong and believe in what you know in your heart to be true, even when faced with depression, disaster and death. At some time we are all faced with these things, and the key to working through them is through faith.

Believe in God's ultimate goodness, and know that his plan for you is perfect!

Beautiful Day!

Hank and yours truly went out riding our 4-wheelers out on the lake today. It was a little cold ~ OK when I got home...my hands were like ice ~ But wonderful to be outside and enjoy the winter beauty!
I must admit that my dear other half is much more daring than I when driving. I tend to take it slow and easy while he is a bit of a daredevil! Ahh well...boys and their toys! I am content to let him have fun while I take the pictures.

This farm sits on top of a hill next to the lake - what a view they have!
Stop by tommorow for the weekly scripture challenge gift. And maybe some more photos too!

Spiritual Journey ~ Week 29

I have been hosting this challenge at Plain Digital Wrapper for quite some time now. So if it's the first time you've seen it - there are plenty more free gifts in the Spiritual Journey forum over there.

Here's a link to the forum:

Help yourself - if you create something wonderful, stop back & leave me a link in the comments so I can see it!
This week's scripture is Galations 5:22 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Here is this week's gift - a heart made from tape, a tag and a lovely floral background. The scripture is one I have been using for the past few weeks, choosing a different "fruit" as inspiration for each week.
I was going to post this last week for Valentine's Day but I was not able to since my dear stepmother passed away, so I had to travel to Mountain Home AR. With her passing, it just makes me want to emphasize even more - love your family and TELL them often! The last conversation I had with her, I told her I loved her, never knowing it was the last time I would tell her that.

Home at Last!

Finally - I dragged myself into bed at 4AM this morning - Ugh! My flight to Bostson was supposed to land at midnight, but they kept us circling over the airport until 1:00 beacause of the snow on the runway. Here is what it looked like from my window:

Yikes!

Then it was 2:00 til I got my luggage and bus to the parking lot. 2 hours to drive home on snowy roads and trying not to fall asleep. My bed never felt so good!
I'll leave you with some photos I took from the plane on the trip down Saturday afternoon. These were taken with my Canon Powershot A75. I am not sure which lakes or river this is...but it's somplace close to Springfield, MO, which is where I landed. Beautiful!

I'll post some pages later with photos of my stepmom. Her name is Linda. She married my Dad when I was 3 1/2, and growing up she was always a mother to me. Yes, we had our differences, especially when I was a teenager. But I loved her dearly and now I am very sad that she is gone.
*Love you*Mom.

Blogging from the Airport...

Here I am in Springfield, MO - waiting at the airport, since my flight home is delayed. There is 1/2" of ice coating everything here. I am SO glad to not be driving anymore at least. I had a three hour drive this morning from Mountain Home AR up here, and it was not all that much fun.

My rental car got stuck in the parking lot at McDonald's on the drive to the airport and some very nice gentlemen pushed me out - thank goodness!

All the parking lots and side roads are pure ice - so anyone who lives down here should just stay home if you can! I am just hoping I can get back home sometime today. Not a good time to travel but my stepmom passed away last week and I met my sisters down here to clean out her apartment and take care of the funeral arrangements. Now I am just tired and I want to go home!

It's now it's 4:00ET - I missed my connection to Chicago and they had us get off the plane, since there is at least another 3 hours until we can depart for Chicago....hmmm..wonder which airport I'll be sleeping at?

Home = Massachusetts!

I hear the weather in Boston is going to be unpleasant as well, if I ever get there!
